Anyone Seen JapSach's Clock?

Clock, I said.

Check it out though, it's the best widget I've seen for a long time. I stared at it, I smiled and figured out what was what and, hand on heart, it made me smile and feel excited.

I thought his fish were cool, I thought my moving tag cloud was nifty but Sach's clock is better than any of them, even sliced. It's over there on the left on his blog.

Temporary Service Interruption

I'm having a jolly nice break.

C's over here, the weather's sunny and the river's looking good. I've got the week off and am doing all sorts of good things. Tonight I may just cook a beef and potato curry, one of my favourites.

Then, on Friday we're going to Paris for the weekend on the Eurostar. London is just excellent at this time of year, hopefully Paris will be too.

So things at LLD are a bit quieter than usual.

Like the boy I am, I'm seriously looking forward to the train journey.

Kottucatchupiness or U.S Kottucatchupyness ('cothookachuppeenuss) n.

to be away from the Lankanosphere for a while, maybe because of work or being pissed every night or something. On returning and reading Kottu one may be described as being in a state of Kottucatchupiness.

Why the sudden gush of girl love RD?

The other day I spoke to three women I'm very fond of. They're all stylish, sexy and intelligent and I'm lucky enough to consider them all good friends.

One is an old friend who I don't speak to or see enough. I rang her, we had a long, long chat and then arranged to meet up.

Another is a newer but still good friend who called me unexpectedly. We had a brief yet enjoyable chat. Stimulating stuff.

The last one?

Aha. My secret, sort of.

But the thing is that they all made me smile inside.

And outside.

Something For The Weekend

This song, this version, is one of my all time favourites. It reminds me of many things. One of them is my parents and their great friends dancing to it in that so very Lankan way, back in the seventies.
