Changi Airport Mystery - Can You Help?

The last few times I've been to Singapore I've got the same flight out; at 9.oo AM on Monday morning. And, on each occasion, these women have been asleep in the coffee shop at the airport. Normally there's another two people, an older woman and a man I think. In Starbucks, with suitcases and bags around them as if they're about to go on or have just been on a flight.

For the life of me I can't figure out what they're doing there and why?

Any ideas? Or have you seen them too?

Maybe they're homeless people pretending to be travellers so they can sleep there perhaps?

Maybe they're homeless people...or business consultants? Could be either one.

well they're probably wondering what you're doing there at 9 on mondays too.. if they were awake that is :)

Probably someone in trade. They may be buying goods in Singapore for sale somewhere else,

The computer shops in Unity Plaza (which bears close likeness to Sim Lim square - the computer arcade in Singapore) used to get much of their supplies this way, although with duties lower it may not be happening now.

They're actually Airport Security in disguise. The other two must've been on a break. The big bag on the lap is actually a camera that focuses automatically as it does a 360 degree rotation. You can be sure they have footage of you photographing them, so watch out next time. The fat one in the corner has eyes painted on her face, whilst her real eyes are peering at you through her wig.

Darwin + Ian - I've considered the homeless people theory but they don't look it, and I wouldn't expect the Singaporean airport authorities would let that happen.

T - I don't think they've paid me much attention!

Jack P - Yes, that may be the case, some kind of traders.

Java - Now you're talking.

PBG - I don't understand your comment.

PBG means 'The Terminal', the Tom Hanks movie where he lived in an airport.
