It's what, my God, it's about thirty years since espadrilles were last in fashion and things have come full circle. I've been contemplating the purchase for a few months but, on Saturday at dinner with Academic Bro and his wife (Academic Sister in Law), he sported a pair and that clinched it for me.
I wait, with baited breath, as any good metrosexual will understand and appreciate.

Espadrilles never went out of fashion....as far as I know ( and I do own several pairs)...and I'm pretty finicky about whats in and not. ...however, I have'nt known guys to wear them, i honestly did'nt have a clue it came in male designs....must google it right now and check it out... i'm mind boggled :p
okay okay.....yes, it is in and i have infact seen them been worn by males... for some reason i did'nt realized those particular shoes were called that...i mean ladies espadrilles are so cute with wedge heels and straps around the ankles da da da..
. - I think you and I might be talking about different things when we say "espadrille". Wedge heels, straps!?? Good God!
