Tonight's Set

Tonight I have a gig, with another one on Saturday night.

The setlist goes like this:

Set 1

Take Back The City

Golden Touch

Take Me Out

Last Night

Suffragette City

Vertigo

Molly's Chambers

Holiday

Don't Believe A Word

Tempted

When You Were Young

Set 2

Creep

Starlight

A Town Called Malice

Country House

Pump It Up

Do You Want To?

Sex On Fire

Dakota

Rebel Yell

Are You Gonna My Way?

Chelsea Dagger

Common People

Somebody Told Me

I Predict A Riot

She Sells Sanctuary

Encore

Play That Funky Music
Brown Sugar

It's a tough set for us drummers, I wouldn't want to be in a car with me tonight with all the sweat and smells, but it's a very high energy and fun set too.

What do you reckon?

Can you name all the original artistes?

Good stuff! was 'Molly's Chamber' re-done by metallica and called 'Whiskey in the Jar'? or is it a completely different song?

Whackster - No, Molly's Chambers is a Kings Of Leon song, an early one. Whiskey in the Jar was originally a Thin Lizzy song that Metallica covered a few years back. Thin Lizzy's was in fact a new arrangement of a traditional Irish folk song.

I know this as Thin Lizzy are one of my all time favourite bands and their former drummer, Brian Downey is one of the chaps who inspired me to start playing. Sorry for the long answer

Oh dearie me. The only song I identify is 'I predict a riot'.
Similar song list for Saturday? Should I make a quick stop on the way at Camden Town and get me a baggie first I wonder?

DD - Yes, similar, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it. You'll recognise most of them, even at your age!

By title alone, I think I can identify the artistes of 17 out of the 28 songs...I suppose that's not too bad no? I'd probably recognise a few of the others if I heard them.

And omg you're playing Take Back the City, Molly's Chambers and Starlight...I ♥ you.

T - That may be coming soon, watch this space.

Sach - Not a prom, it was a charity fundraiser thing, was a good night all round.

Damn I can't believe I didn't register Creep as being Radiohead. That's disgraceful.

Coming to see you guys sounds like an awesome idea, RD! I do visit London quite regularly (once a month-ish). Do you have a regular venue?

Have a good Friday! :-)

Pseudo - We have a couple of places we play regularly and I'll let you know when the next one is coming up for sure. Have a nice Friday too
