Cheque signed?
As I tidy up and get ready to go I've just been signing some cheques. It's something I do regularly, as I guess do many people who are involved in business.
But, it's a test of the old RD Christmas spirit to sign a cheque for £63,000 and a bit, made payable to HM Revenue and Customs. I can't recall exactly but I think it's possibly the largest cheque I've ever signed.

What the hell were you importing????
I've never signed a cheque in my life, and don't even have a cheque book, but the most I've spent in one go was when I bought my car -- 1.6 million SL rupees. That's a lot of zeroes in rupees. But I just heard that Zimbabwe's central bank has issued a 10 billion note worth less than US$20.
Nothing special DB, just the usual VAT business to be honest. Scary though. The amounts on the personal side of spending are always much much smaller.
If you are paying taxes you are making money so treat this as a good thing !
