More I read the "You might be.." more I feel alienated.
Good to be back and it is very early in the morning!

I totally disagree mate… that might apply for a Sinhalese name… but when I went to take my driving license, prior to the written exams, those people who conduct it used to call us by our names… so when this guy called my name louder it sounded alien.. I felt uncomfortable.. I had to spell it again to him.. where I saw some awful faces from the crown standing with me staring at me, as I was some alien… for my surprise that official was not a white man.. he was just dark as me… well at that point I too had a doubt of being a sri Lankan…

oh my god i know what you mean, I love big classes so the prof wont bother shouting out everyones name to hand things back.
they usually choke when it comes to my name

yes very true.
However I'm spared the trouble occasionally thanks to a player in our cricket team, who's got the same surname as I. But if that is the case, their next question is "Are you related to...?"

LOL - which is why the Chinese adopt western names - Andrew Hung, Barbra Chew!

Do I have your permission to create a link from my blog to yours?
