Oooh that stings!

Especially when the other bloke says it's not his fault because he didn't see the car.

jl - first the idiot who reversed into my car said that it wasn't his fault because he didn't see the car in his mirror. Then I got quote for the repair. Then I nearly died of shock. Then I started to think that I haven't had much luck with this car and maybe, just maybe I could use that as a reason to get the car of my dreams...............tbc

I'm assuming you didn't let him get away with an excuse as lame as that.

Okay... so what is the car of your dreams?

I didn't have much choice, all we can do here is send off our insurance claims and let the respective ins companies fight it out. Sadly they usually settle for 50/50 if neither party admits liability as that is often cheaper than fighting it through courts and the like. I can't tell you the dream car but it's got a 5 and an M in it! That's not my total dream car as I am thinking slightly practical - has to fit a drum kit in it.

Right... Interesting choice, though a little techie for my tastes. You like German cars in general or just BMWs?

Neither actually JL, I think the 5 series is the class leader but I also don't feel comfortable with the prospect of being a "one car man" so I'd love to find something different that would meet my criteria next time. I was reading an article about the new Audi S4 convertible yesterday and that looks rather tempting too. You've given me the idea of writing a full post on the subject, I'll get working on it today.
